Background to the project

Community Chesterfield brings people together to build networks, share ideas, learn and collaborate to strengthen the communities across Derbyshire.

The project is a partnership between Derbyshire Voluntary Action and the University of Derby and over the past four years has facilitated over 4000 meaningful connections and learning opportunities between community organisations and staff and students at the university.

We run an award winning Experts by Experience programme, popular training and shared learning workshops, events, module contributions, projects, facilitate volunteering opportunities and community placement hosting amongst many other things.
