Training and Tea – an easy way to keep those New Year’s Resolutions !
Community Chesterfield, a partnership project between Derbyshire Voluntary Action and University of Derby, is bringing back its popular Training and Tea sessions for 2021.
“Voluntary sector organisations have offered much needed support to residents of Chesterfield throughout the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020,” Community Chesterfield Project Manager Charlotte Repton told us, “and these training session are a way of accessing support and learning how to navigate an ever changing world of work through high quality professional training courses.”
Andrew Deighton, of AWD Development Solutions, delivers the 45 minute sessions covering diverse topics such as Working in and Leading Remote Teams, Managing Difficult Conversations and Presentation Skills. The sessions are available fully funded for staff or volunteers of voluntary and community sector organisations offering a service to Chesterfield residents, as well as staff and students at University of Derby. The training is paid for through funding from National Lottery Community Fund.
Makes Keeping Resolutions easy!
“Making a New Year’s resolution to spend a short time each week increasing your skills, knowledge and confidence could make a huge difference, not only for your organisation but for yourself,” Charlotte continued, “and we’re keen that as many people who are eligible take part as possible so that Chesterfield’s voluntary sector continues to survive and thrive during 2021.”
