From next week you'll see the Community Chesterfield brand you've followed and supported change to Derbyshire Voluntary Action.
This move allows us to consolidate our resources and enhance the services and support we provide to our community. 
We've learnt and achieved a lot over the course of our project, and know that taking that knowledge and drive into the core of DVA only makes us stronger in what we do.

Derbyshire Voluntary Action and the University of Derby forging ahead,...
We are delighted to announce that through a new memorandum of understanding, Derbyshire Voluntary Action and the University of Derby are continuing their close and positive working relationship, which has created opportunities to strengthen communities across Derbyshire. This summer will see us exploring new projects and opportunities to support community organisations and raise aspirations.
Derbyshire Voluntary Action and the University of Derby have collaborated under a Strategic Partnership Agreement for the past five years which has resulted in over 5,000 highly successful meaningful connections, shared experiences, learning opportunities and impactful activities. The partnership has been funded primarily by the National Lottery Community Fund and has, enabled us to support, over 140 charities and more than 500 training places. And helped local community organisations to attract additional funding.
We have an incredible portfolio of partnership working. We’ve met hundreds of students, introducing them to the diversity, strengths, and needs of health and wellbeing charities, social enterprises, and community and voluntary groups throughout Derbyshire. We’ve helped to shape the way future generations look at this vital part of care and understanding that we all contribute towards. We’ve spoken at conferences and events up and down the country and hosted our own. We’ve won awards locally and nationally recognising the strength of our partnerships and contribution to the student experience. We’ve met royalty and celebrated our successes with them, and we’ve championed the activities and impact of the groups that we have worked with, all with you, our members.
