Community Chesterfield to host special celebration event
We are excited to be hosting a special event to celebrate everything the Community Chesterfield project has achieved since its launch in 2019.
Community Chesterfield’s Project Showcase, which will take place on 12 May, will provide an opportunity for local community groups and colleagues from the university to come together and reflect on the positive impact the initiative has had on the local voluntary sector in Chesterfield.
The in-person event, which is taking place at University of Derby’s St Helena Campus in Chesterfield, will also give attendees the chance to contribute to further delivery planning of the project. They will also be able to network with a large group of peers from the community sector and professionals from the University of Derby.
Jenny Raschbauer, Community Chesterfield’s project manager, said: “We are very much looking forward to celebrating with the individuals and organisations from across Chesterfield and the surrounding areas who have made our wonderful project what it is today.
“We have certainly faced challenges over the last three years, but we have worked hard to continually find new ways to adapt to ensure we are still successfully providing opportunities and vital support for local community and voluntary sector groups.
“This event really is a chance to reflect on these successes, celebrate the positive impact we have had across Chesterfield’s health and social care sector and provide an opportunity to plan for the future of our project with those who it will benefit the most. We hope to see many of you there!”
Attending organisations will be offered a space to showcase their own work. Welcome drinks and a light buffet will be provided by the Asian Association of Chesterfield.
If you are a Community Group who has worked with us and you would like to display your work at this event, please email us at community@dva.org.uk.
